Zoho Payroll - Bought, Configured and Supported by a Zoho Premium Partner
Zoho Payroll runs your pay cycle, your statutory filings and your payslips in one place, and it talks to the rest of Zoho without anyone writing glue code.
Payroll is the one system where mistakes are noticed the same day.
People check their salary. They do not check whether the CRM synced.
We licence it to you at Zoho's own price, configure it for the country you actually pay people in, migrate you off whatever you are running now, and stay on the account afterwards. Thirteen years as a Zoho implementation partner, 1,500+ implementations, 50+ certified consultants, offices in Chennai and Dubai.

The licence costs the same.
What comes with it doesn't.

You can buy Zoho Payroll from Zoho's website in about four minutes. Plenty of companies do, and for a ten-person business paying salaries in one country, that is a perfectly sensible decision.
Here is what changes when the licence sits with a partner.
.webp)
The price is identical.
Zoho sets it. We cannot mark it up and we cannot discount below the published rate. Neither is allowed
.webp)
The edition and plan get decided before you pay.
Zoho Payroll's editions differ by country, and the plan tiers differ within them. Picking the wrong one is an avoidable migration on a system where migrations are painful.
.webp)
You get a named consultant, not a queue.
Escalations to Zoho go through the partner channel, which matters most in the week before a pay date.
.webp)
You get a straight answer on Zoho One.
If you will also use CRM, Books, People and Projects, a Zoho One licence is often cheaper than buying Payroll standalone. We will tell you when that is true even though it changes what we sell you.
.webp)
Renewals, user changes and add-ons are one email.
Not a form.
Who should move, and who probably shouldn't
We would rather tell you now than three weeks into a project.
Pay runs
for salaried, hourly and overtime employees, with multi-level approval before anything leaves the building.
Salary structures you define earnings, deductions, benefits, allowances and custom components, rather than a fixed template you have to work around.
Off-cycle pay runs
for bonuses, mid-month joiners, withheld payments and final settlements.
Pay Groups
process payroll separately for specific groups of employees inside the same pay schedule.
Useful when one division, entity or worker category needs to be run and approved apart from the rest.
Multi-currency salary payments
pay an employee in a currency different from your organisation's base currency, converted during processing at a rate you set or the latest available. (Never capability — we will confirm availability for your edition before you plan around it.)

Automatic payslips
with a full breakdown of tax and deductions.
Employee self-service on web and mobile payslips, tax documents, reimbursement claims, leave, and direct messaging with the payroll admin.
Leave and attendance
with custom leave types feeding straight into the pay run.
Document management
for employee and organisation records, with alerts on documents that lapse.
Reporting
more than twenty customisable payroll reports, statutory and management, all exportable.

Payroll is only useful when it's joined up
BUILT FOR WHEN PAYROLL BECOMES PART OF THE BIGGER PICTURE

Payroll journal entries post automatically, so your accounts close without a manual JV every month.
Worth knowing: this native integration covers the India, UAE and US editions. On other editions, journals may need manual entry, and we will confirm which applies to you rather than assuming.

Employee master, leave and attendance flow through instead of being keyed twice.

If you hire through Recruit, the chain runs candidate to employee to payslip on one dataset, with nobody re-typing anything.

Reimbursements paid alongside salary in the same run.

If you are on the bundle.
What it connects to with work - this is our part
Zoho publishes support for custom integrations with Workday, SAP, Oracle, UKG and Microsoft systems.
"Supported" means the APIs exist. It does not mean there is a checkbox.
When your HR system of record is one of those and payroll is Zoho, somebody has to build the mapping and then maintain it as both ends change. That is a scoped project, and it is one we do.

Zoho Payroll for India
PF, ESI, PT, LWF and income tax, handled
India is where Zoho Payroll is most mature and where the compliance surface is widest.

Provident Fund (PF)
Employee and employer contributions, calculated and reported.

Employees' State
Insurance (ESI)
Eligibility-based, applied automatically.

Professional Tax (PT)
Across states. at each state's own slab.

Labour Welfare
Fund (LWF)
Where it applies.

Income tax (TDS)
Computed across the year and adjusted as declarations change.

Tax forms and filing
Pre-formatted statutory and tax reports,
generated for filing rather than assembled by hand.
Form 12BB, Form 16 and TDS returns
on demand, with e-signature built in.
Investment declarations and proof-of-investment collection
through the employee portal, which is the part that eats your HR team's January.

Employee experience
Payslips, salary revision letters, bonus letters,
salary certificates and full and final settlement
documents, deliverable over WhatsApp.
Payslips, salary revision letters, bonus letters,
salary certificates and full and final settlement
documents, deliverable over WhatsApp.
Self-service reimbursement claims.
Zia answering "why is my PF different this month"
so your payroll executive doesn't have to.
Payments
Direct salary deposit
through partner banks.
Contractor payments with automatic TDS,
kept separate from employee payroll and treated correctly.
Where India implementations actually go wrong
Four things, more or less every time.

Mid-year migration
Moving in April is easy. Moving in October means year-to-date earnings, TDS already deducted and declarations already submitted all have to land correctly, or every Form 16 in March is wrong.

Opening balances and arrears
Loans, advances, leave encashment, retrospective salary revisions.

Salary structure design
Most companies migrate a structure that was itself a workaround for their old system's limits. Migration is your one convenient chance to rebuild it properly.

Statutory registration mismatches
PF and ESI codes, PT registrations per state, and the establishment details all of it hangs off.
How we make it work
We run this as a fixed-scope project with a parallel run - one month where the old system and Zoho Payroll both produce the payslips, and we reconcile them line by line before you cut over.
Zoho's own India payroll FAQ is a reasonable starting point if you want to read up first.
For small businesses
There is a free plan for up to 10 employees in India. If that is genuinely where you are, we will tell you to take it.
Zoho Payroll for the UAE
WPS, gratuity and end of service, without the spreadsheet
Paying people in the UAE is less about tax and more about proving you paid them, on time, in the format the Ministry expects. The UAE edition is built around exactly that.

WPS salary files, generated not built
SIF files generated automatically from the pay run, in Wage Protection System format.
No more hand-built salary files, and no more rejected uploads because a header field moved or a total didn't tie.

Gratuity and end of service
Gratuity is calculated and accrued automatically for all employee types, expatriates included.
Which means your end-of-service liability is visible in the books all year rather than discovered on the day somebody resigns and finance has to find the money.

Pensions and social insurance
The UAE edition handles GPSSA and
ADPF contributions, and DIF's DEWS retirement plan for expatriates.
So you can employ UAE nationals, GCC nationals and expatriates across mainland and DIFC without maintaining a manual side-calculation for each category.
Operations that keep you compliant

Overtime synced from attendance into the pay run.

Leave types configured to your contracts.

Document expiry alerts for visas, Emirates IDs, labour cards and passports. In the UAE that is not a nice-to-have. A lapsed document is a fine.

Where the standard product stops, and what we build
Zoho Payroll's UAE edition covers standard monthly salaried payroll and WPS well. Some UAE payroll realities sit outside it: multi-entity groups running several WPS establishment IDs, free zone versus mainland rule differences, complex site-based or per-day labour costing, and blue-collar workforces with variable daily attendance coming off biometric or camera-based systems.

Multi-entity groups
Running several
WPS establishment
IDs.

Free zone vs mainland
Rule differences.

Complex labour costing
Site-based or per-day.

Blue-collar workforces
Variable daily attendance from biometric or camera-based systems.
A build, not a replacement
Where that is your situation, we build the missing layer on Zoho Creator and connect it to Zoho Payroll and Zoho Books rather than replacing them. We have built exactly this - a UAE payroll application on Creator with WPS/SIF generation.
Clear from the start
We will tell you upfront whether your requirement is a configuration job or a development job. Those are very different quotes and you deserve to know which one you are getting before you commit. Either way it runs through the same Zoho consulting engagement.
Payroll across all six GCC countries, each with its own statutory engine
Zoho Payroll now runs across the whole Gulf, and this is not six copies of the same product with a currency setting. Each edition calculates that country's own pension and social insurance contributions, for employer and employee, according to local rules — and exports the values for submission to the relevant authority.
Saudi Arabia
GOSI, SANED unemployment insurance and occupational hazard coverage.
United Arab Emirates
GPSSA and ADPF, plus DIFC's DEWS plan for expatriates.
Bahrain
SIO contributions, expatriate gratuity, employment injury and unemployment rules.

Kuwait
PIFSS pension calculations and the related statutory categories for nationals.
Qatar
GRSIA contributions for eligible Qatari nationals.
Oman
SPF contributions, covering maternity, hazard, sick leave and related employment benefits.
READY FOR THE REGION
All six editions come in
Arabic alongside English.
FOR GROUPS ACROSS THE GULF
If you run a Gulf group with an entity in Dubai, one in Riyadh and one in Doha, the useful question is not whether an edition exists for each. It is how you keep every entity locally compliant while getting consolidated reporting across the group, and which entity's rules apply to an employee who moves. That is an architecture conversation and it is the one we would rather have before you buy anything.
Zoho Payroll for the US - multi-state, filed and paid automatically
The US edition is a full tax-filing payroll system rather than a calculator.

Multi-state payroll
Across all 50 states, applying each state's rules automatically, including reciprocity agreements where they apply.

Automatic tax filing and payment
At federal, state and local level.

Payroll forms handled
W-4, W-2, 940, 941 and 944.

Multiple pay rates for multiple roles
An employee who is a support rep on weekdays and a shift supervisor at weekends is paid correctly for the hours worked in each.

Automatic pay stubs
Full breakdown of salary, overtime, withholdings, benefit deductions and ad hoc payments.

Off-cycle runs
For adjustments and new hires.

Compliance tracking
That updates when tax regulations change.

Zoho Books integration
For automated journals and
reimbursements alongside salary.
Who is this right for?
We would rather qualify you out now than sell you the wrong thing.
Good fit
You already run Zoho and want payroll in the same stack rather than a second vendor, a second login and a second integration to maintain. Small to mid-sized teams, US-only or US plus another
Zoho Payroll country.
Probably not a fit
You need deep benefits brokerage,
PEO services, complex union or certified-payroll requirements, or 401(k) administration bundled in.
The big US-only incumbents do those things properly and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
Where HR ends and payroll begins
Most payroll problems are not payroll problems.
They are handover problems.
Running Zoho Payroll alongside Zoho People removes the step entirely. Attendance, leave and loss-of-pay flow through automatically, the employee master is one record, and payroll runs on data HR already validated. Add Zoho Recruit and the chain starts at the job posting.

Zoho Recruit
Hiring starts at the job posting

Zoho People
Attendance and leave in one system

Zoho Payroll
Accurate payroll from validated data
We implement all three.
That means one team owns the whole chain.
No second vendor to point at.
Think ahead.
If you are buying Payroll and you will need HR inside the year, say so now it changes the architecture and often the licence route.
How Zoho Payroll is priced
Zoho Payroll is priced per organisation, per month, with a small number of employees included in the base price and a rate per additional employee on top. Annual billing costs less than monthly.
The price lists differ by edition and country - India, the UAE, the GCC and the US are different numbers in different currencies with different tiers.

We don't publish figures here
They change, and a stale number on a partner's website is worse than no number. Tell us your country, headcount and plan and you will usually have current pricing in writing the same day.

Headcount tiers are where the cost sits
Because you pay per additional employee above the included allowance, the shape of your bill depends on your hiring plan for the year rather than today's headcount. Model it forward.

Free plan for up to 10 employees in India
If that is genuinely your situation, take it, and come back to us when you outgrow it. We will say so rather than sell you something.

Zoho One is often the better buy
If you will use four or more Zoho apps, the all-app bundle frequently costs less than the standalone licences added together. We run both numbers.

Discovery, week one
Entities, countries, headcount, salary structures, statutory registrations, current system, current pain. You come out with a written scope and a fixed price.
If your requirement needs Creator development rather than configuration, this is where we say so, not later.

Configuration
Organisation and entity setup, salary components, pay schedules, pay groups, leave and attendance rules, approval workflows, and the statutory setup for your country:
PF, ESI, PT and TDS for India;
WPS establishment, gratuity policy and GPSSA/ADPF/DEWS for the UAE; GOSI, SIO, SPF, PIFSS or GRIA across the rest of the Gulf; state registrations and filing setup for the US.

Data migration
Employee master, salary history, year-to-date earnings and deductions, loans and advances, leave balances, opening balances. This is the step that eats the most time and the stepp self-
implementations underestimate.

Integration
Zoho Books for journal posting, Zoho People for the employee master, Zoho Expense for reimbursements, and any third-party HR or ERP system in scope.

Parallel run
One full cycle where your existing system and Zoho Payroll both produce results, reconciled line by line. Nothing goes live on a difference we cannot explain.

Training and handover
Payroll admin training, an ESS rollout your employees will actually use, and written runbooks for the monthly cycle and the annual events - tax season, increments, year-end forms.
Typical timeline
Depends on your headcount, number of entities, number of countries, and whether custom development is in scope. We use actual project history, not an aspiration.
Coming from another payroll system
Most of our payroll projects are migrations rather than first-time setups.
What we handle:
Mid-year cutover
Year-to-date earnings, deductions and tax already paid carried across correctly, so year-end forms come out right.
Salary structure redesign
A rethink rather than a lift-and-shift of your old system's compromises.
Leave balances
Reconciled against your policy rather than just copied.

Historic payslip archive
Either migrated or kept accessible, because employees will ask.
Loans, advances and arrears
Brought over with correct balances.
A reconciliation report
At the end, showing every difference between old and new and why it exists.
The reconciliation report is the deliverable people underestimate.
It is what lets your finance director sign off the cutover instead of hoping.
Zoho Support FAQ
Zoho's built-in support helps with general product issues, but they don't know how your specific system was configured. A Zoho support partner like Linz knows your setup, your workflows, and your business, so fixes and changes happen faster and with full context.
Yes. We take on existing Zoho systems regularly. We start with a short audit to understand your configuration, then provide ongoing support from there.
We work on a retainer model: a fixed monthly plan that includes a set bank of expert hours and a guaranteed response time. You choose the service level (Essential, Growth, or Enterprise) that matches how much you rely on Zoho, and we recommend the right fit after understanding your setup. Request a quote and we'll scope it with you.
A retainer is an ongoing agreement where you pay a fixed monthly fee for a defined level of support, instead of being billed unpredictably per incident. It means faster help, a guaranteed response time, and a team that stays familiar with your system.
Both. You can pay monthly for full flexibility, or prepay annually and save roughly two months versus monthly billing. Annual is the best value for stable, ongoing needs.
We also offer ad-hoc support on a time-and-materials basis, you're billed for the hours used. It's the most flexible option, though a retainer works out more cost-effective if you need help regularly.
If you go beyond your plan's monthly hours, additional time is billed at our standard hourly rate, or we'll suggest moving up a tier if you're consistently needing more.
Support covers troubleshooting, configuration changes, minor enhancements, and user help. Net-new builds, a new module, a new Creator app, or a fresh integration, are scoped as a separate project. We'll always tell you upfront which bucket a request falls into.
Yes. We provide secure remote assistance so we can resolve most issues directly, wherever your business is located.
All of them, Zoho CRM, One, Books, People, Payroll, Desk, Projects, Creator, Analytics, and more.
Yes, for businesses that need round-the-clock coverage. We'll match a plan to your requirements.
