Home › Services › Zoho Creator development ZOHO CREATORCUSTOM APPS AND PORTALS Zoho Creator development for the apps your business actually runs onEvery business has one process that no off-the-shelf software handles properly. For a property developer it's the instalment schedule. For a Dubai contractor it's the WPS salary file. Usually it lives in a spreadsheet that one person understands. We build that process into a proper application on Zoho Creator, connected to the Zoho apps you already use. We're a Zoho Premium Partner with offices in Chennai and Dubai, and Creator development is a large part of what our team does every week. . THE PLATFORM Why Creator, and when we'd say noZoho Creator is Zoho's low-code platform, around since 2006. You design forms, reports and pages visually, then write business logic in Deluge, Zoho's own scripting language, wherever the visual builder runs out. What makes it worth choosing is the plumbing. A Creator app reads and writes to Zoho CRM, Books, People and Payroll without any middleware. It works on the web and as a mobile app on iOS and Android. It can open a secure portal to your customers, brokers or suppliers. Zoho now builds AI agents into the platform itself: a Plan agent that turns a written brief into a requirements document and a first version of the app, a Build agent you can direct in conversation, and a Chat agent that lets your staff ask the finished app questions in plain language. | . We'll still tell you when it's the wrong tool
|
. LOW-CODE, IN PRACTICE What's actually inside a Creator appBuyers often ask what "low-code" means in practice. A Creator app is built from seven parts, and knowing them makes it much easier to judge what a quote includes. Around those parts, Creator adds the pieces that would take months to hand-code: Native mobile apps with offline entryCustomer and partner portals with OTP, passkey and MFA sign-inPublic pages before loginAI models that read documents and make predictionsAudit trail with restore of deleted recordsYour choice of email channel, from ZeptoMail to Gmail, Outlook or your own serverDatabridge to MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server and SAP HANA on your own serversRPA flows for older systems with no API | . ![]() |
. FormsWhere data goes in: a booking, a job card, a leave request. Each form can have dozens of fields, validation rules and lookups to other forms. | . ReportsThe views people work from every day. Lists, calendars, kanban boards, maps and spreadsheet-style grids, each filtered to what that user should see. | . PagesReports, charts and buttons pulled together into dashboards. A sales head and a site engineer can open the same app and land on completely different screens. | . WorkflowsThe work nobody wants to do by hand. Send the payment reminder, create the next instalment, alert the manager when a document is about to expire. |
. Blueprints and approvalsA unit can't move to "booked" until the token amount is received; a purchase above a limit waits for a second signature. Often where the real value of a custom app sits. | . DelugeZoho's scripting language, where the custom logic lives: calculations, API calls, document generation. Most of the hours in a serious Creator project go here. | . Roles and permissionsWho sees and edits what, down to individual fields. In finance and HR apps this gets designed first, not last. | . NOT SURE WHAT YOU NEED? Send us the spreadsheet you want to replaceWe'll tell you which of these parts your app needs, and roughly how big the build is, before you pay for anything. Discuss your app |
. AI IN YOUR APP ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini inside your Creator appZoho's own AI, Zia, covers a lot. Many clients still want the models their teams already use every day, and Creator works with them in two directions: the model can work inside your app, or your team can reach the app from inside the model. Admins can add API keys for OpenAI, Google or Anthropic and choose which key each AI feature uses. On Zoho's UAE data centre, Zoho's own model isn't offered, so apps hosted there run on one of these providers. WORKS WITH
| . ![]() |
. DIRECTION 1 The model works inside the appDeluge can call the ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini API at any step of a workflow and save the answer back to the record. Summarise a long site inspection into three lines, draft a reply to a customer enquiry, sort new leads by intent, or pull the invoice number and amount out of an uploaded PDF. Usage is billed by OpenAI, Anthropic or Google, separately from your Zoho licence. For most business apps it comes to a small monthly amount. | . DIRECTION 2 Your team works from inside the modelWith Zoho's MCP server, someone in ChatGPT or Claude can ask "show me every instalment overdue by more than 30 days" or "approve these five job cards", and it happens in your app. Sign-in goes through Zoho, and the same permissions apply. It can also run your existing buttons, approvals and blueprint steps, and push changes from development to stage to live. Forms and fields are still built in Creator itself, by us. | . FROM OUR BUILDS Two things we plan forThe 40-second limit. A Deluge call to an outside API times out after about 40 seconds, and a model writing a long answer can take longer. We keep prompts tight for anything a user waits on, and move longer jobs into background functions. No lock-in to one model. Prices change often, and the model that reads Arabic documents best may not be the one that drafts the best English email. We set apps up so switching is a settings change, not a rebuild. |

OUR WORK
What we build on Creator
The best way to explain Creator is to show what it's been used for. See the case studies.
. Real estate sales operationsProperty developers from India to the Gulf don't sell houses the way a CRM expects. There's an expression of interest, then a booking, then a sale and purchase agreement, then twenty or thirty instalments tied to construction milestones. We build those stages as Creator modules that sit beside Zoho CRM: EOI tracking, SPA generation, payment receipts and instalment schedules that update themselves when a milestone is reached. | . Broker and channel partner portalsA developer can work with dozens or hundreds of brokers, and most of them still send enquiries over WhatsApp and phone calls. We've built Creator portals, including one for a Chennai residential developer, where each broker logs in to their own space. They check live unit availability, register a lead before a rival broker can claim it, book site visits, track their own commissions and download brochures and price sheets. The developer's sales team sees every broker's pipeline and performance in one place, and no broker ever sees another's data. Portal access is licensed separately by Zoho, so we size that cost with you before the build. | . Garage and workshop operationsFor KHF Automotive we customised Zoho CRM and built Creator apps around how their garage actually runs, from customer records to the workflow inside the workshop. Their managing director's own words are on our homepage. Workshops are a good example of a business that standard CRM fits badly, because the thing being tracked is a car on a ramp, not a sales deal. |
. UAE payroll with WPSStandard Zoho Payroll covers most UAE companies well. Where it doesn't (several WPS establishment IDs, site-based labour costing, daily-rated workers clocked by biometric devices), we've built the missing payroll layer on Creator, including SIF file generation, connected back to Zoho Books. | . Approval and operations workflowsPurchase requests, site inspections, asset registers, job cards. These are smaller apps, often built in a few weeks, that replace the email chains and shared spreadsheets a team has outgrown. | . Integrations with what Zoho doesn't ownCreator's API and connections let us link Zoho to ERP systems like SAP, Oracle NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics, to WhatsApp, and to local banking and government formats. |
LESSONS FROM RESCUE JOBS
Where Creator projects usually go wrong
We see the same handful of problems again and again, often in apps we're brought in to rescue.

HOW WE WORK
How a Creator project runs with us
Most failed custom apps fail at the start, because nobody wrote down how the process really works. So we spend more time there than you might expect.
. 01 WorkshopsWe sit with the people who do the work, not just the managers who approve it. We map every status, exception and approval, including the ones that only happen at month-end. | . 02 Written scope and fixed quoteA document listing every form, report, workflow, role and integration, with a fixed price. If something isn't in it, it isn't in the price, and you'll know that upfront. | . 03 A working first version in weeks, not monthsWe'd rather you click through a rough app early than approve a long specification you can't picture. | . 04 Build in short cyclesEach cycle ends with a demo to your team and a list of changes. |
. 05 Data migration and testingYour existing records come across, and your own staff test with real cases before anyone relies on it. | . 06 Go-live, training and handoverAdmin training, user guides, and access to the app's code and configuration. It's your app, in your Zoho account. | . 07 SupportA retainer through our Zoho support team covers fixes, small changes and Zoho platform updates. | . |
WHERE YOU OPERATE
Built for the country you operate in
We build Creator apps for clients worldwide, mostly working remotely, with teams in Chennai and Dubai covering time zones from the US to Asia. Every country brings its own tax documents, payroll rules and data residency questions, and we design for them from the start rather than bolting them on later. Two of the markets we know best show what that looks like.
. INDIA GST-ready invoices and documents, statutory payroll data feeding into Zoho Books and People, and apps that staff can use on low-cost Android phones in the field. | . UAE WPS and SIF salary files, VAT-ready documents, Arabic labels where customers see them, amounts written out in Arabic words on invoices, and document expiry tracking for visas, Emirates IDs and labour cards. | . EVERYWHERE ELSE Zoho runs Creator from data centres in several regions, including the US, Europe, India, Australia and the UAE, so your data can sit where your regulations require. For clients in the US, UK, Europe and the wider GCC, we follow the same workshops and fixed-price approach, over video and shared screens. |
For organisations that can't use the cloud at all, Creator also comes as an on-premise edition. If your Zoho account currently sits elsewhere, our data centre migration service covers the move.
PRICING
What it costs
There are two separate costs, and we keep them separate on purpose.
.
Paid per user per month, on Standard, Professional or Enterprise plans, with a custom Flex plan for larger accounts. Standard · Only one application. This is the detail that catches people out. Professional · What a business planning several apps usually needs. Enterprise · Separate test and live environments, single sign-on, fully branded mobile apps. Portal users · An add-on, for customers or partners who log in. On Zoho One? Creator is already included in your bundle, which often settles the question. See Zoho One. Zoho's prices vary by country and change from time to time, so we'll confirm the current figure for your region rather than print one here. | .
Quoted as a fixed price after the workshops. A focused workflow app and a multi-module system with portals and integrations are very different projects, and an honest quote needs to know which one you have. 1 Workshops with the people who do the work 2 Written scope of every form, report, workflow, role and integration 3 One fixed price. If it isn't in the scope, it isn't in the price. |
. DATA MIGRATION Moving off spreadsheets, Access or an old systemMany Creator projects start with an Excel file that has grown to forty tabs, or an old desktop database nobody can maintain. | . ![]() |
. STEP 1 Start from what you haveSpreadsheets, an Access database or an older system nobody wants to touch. | . STEP 2 Clean it firstRemoving duplicates, fixing formats and agreeing which records actually matter. | . STEP 3 Bring it into CreatorWith history preserved where you need it. | . DATA THAT CAN'T MOVE Creator DatabridgeConnects to databases you keep on your own servers, when the data can't move to the cloud. |
. CREATOR + CATALYST When a project needs Creator and Catalyst togetherSome projects start on Creator and end up needing both platforms. That's common once an app starts serving people outside the company. We build on both, which means we can split a project along the line that keeps your licence costs down and your app fast, instead of forcing everything onto the platform one team happens to know. | . ![]() |
. WHY LINZ Why companies bring Creator work to usZOHO PREMIUM PARTNERCRM SOLUTIONS PARTNER OF THE YEAR, ZOHOLICS INDIA 202650+ CERTIFIED CONSULTANTS We're a Zoho Premium Partner with 50+ certified consultants, and Zoho named us CRM Solutions Partner of the Year at Zoholics India 2026. That matters for Creator work, because a Creator app rarely stands alone. It pulls customers from Zoho CRM, posts invoices to Books and reads employees from People. Because we handle Zoho implementation for all of those apps too, we design the Creator layer to fit them rather than work around them.

FAQ
Questions we hear often
. Do we need programmers on our side to use a Creator app?No. Your team uses it like any other business app. Day-to-day changes such as adding a field or a report can be made by a trained admin without code. Deluge is only needed for deeper logic, and that's our job. Is Zoho Creator included in Zoho One?Yes. Zoho One includes Creator, so many of our clients pay no extra licence for their custom apps. Portal users for outside parties may still be charged separately. Who owns the app once it's built? You do. It lives in your Zoho account, and you get the configuration, the Deluge code and the documentation at handover. Can Creator connect to systems outside Zoho?Yes, through REST APIs, webhooks and Zoho's ready-made connectors. We've connected Zoho to ERPs including SAP, Oracle NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics. For data that has to stay on your own servers, Creator Databridge provides a secure link. Does Creator work on mobile phones?Every Creator app runs in a browser and in Zoho's mobile apps for iOS and Android. On the Enterprise plan it can be published as your own branded app. How long does a Creator project take?It depends on how many processes, roles and integrations are involved. After the workshops you get a fixed timeline alongside the fixed price, with a working first version early in the project. | . Should we use Creator or Zoho Catalyst?Creator suits internal business apps and partner portals built on top of Zoho. Catalyst suits products with large numbers of outside users or heavier custom code. If you're unsure, we'll recommend one in the first conversation. Can you fix a Creator app another partner built?Yes. We start with a short audit of the code and structure, then give you a written view of what to keep, fix or rebuild. Can we build the app ourselves with Zoho's AI agents? For a simple tracker, often yes, and we'd encourage you to try. Creator's Plan and Build agents are good at producing a first draft of forms, reports and workflows from a written brief. Where teams get stuck is everything after the draft: permissions, approvals, integrations, data migration and code that someone can maintain. Some clients build the first version themselves and bring us in to finish and harden it. Is there a free trial of Zoho Creator?Yes. Zoho offers a trial, and there's also a free plan limited to a single application with a small record allowance, which is enough to explore the builder. A trial shows you the tool, not whether your specific process will work in it, which is why a short scoping call alongside it saves time. What happens when Zoho updates Creator?Zoho updates the platform regularly and existing apps keep running. Occasionally a feature is deprecated or an API changes. Clients on a support retainer have us check releases against their app, so changes are handled before they cause problems. |
. Tell us about the process you want out of spreadsheetsA short call is enough to tell whether it's a Creator job, a standard Zoho app or something else entirely. You'll leave with a straight answer either way. | . Chennai: 2nd Floor, 5/790, Kavimani St, Mogappair West, Chennai 600037 Dubai: Al Barsha Business Centre, No 305 A, 3rd Floor, Al Barsha First |
